What is your purpose of life and education?

There are so many people who know their purpose of life and there are some who don't. For me I am at the point of my life that I know what my purpose is. I have been through obstacles that I have overcome and that told me a lot about myself, which helps me understand what the purpose of my life is. I want to be a criminal defense attorney.

That is my purpose to become something that I always wanted to. Now I can also prove to those who thought I was just going to school for fun that I take this very seriously. Some people act surprised that I am so focused and so driven and I wonder is it because I am African American and a female.

The intersectionality and that complexity of me being African American and a woman goes with me everywhere I go. However, though this impacts me it does not change the fact that I will do anything but reach my goals. Education plays a big role in this because you can still attain your education and there will always be someone who is going to act like I am still not fit for a certain job and this can also be because of the color of my skin. Also, it is so hard to complete education if society places barriers in front of us to not allow us to complete our education.
