Eid-Al-Fitr

Many Muslims in the United States celebrate Eid al-Fitr (also known as Id al-Fitr or Eid ul-Fitr) on the first day of Shawwal in the Islamic calendar. It marks the end of the month-long fast of Ramadan and the start of a feast that lasts up to three days in some countries.

Why Eid Means So Much to Me:
"Eid is a time where Muslims engage in thanking Allah for giving us strength to fast through the month and bestowing his blessings on us." But to me Eid means more than just being able to spend time with family, exchange presents and of course, eat as much as I like."
