Evan Li was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. As a junior attending Cleveland High School, he spends most of his time immersed in various types of media, including but not limited to books, music, games, and the Internet. He writes with the intention of incorporating the concept of self-identity into words that document his journey growing up experiencing life as a first-generation Asian-American. Hello. My name is Kalkedan Mekonen. I am a rising junior at Franklin High School. Go Quakers!! I enjoy watching sunsets and taking picture of them. I love taking walks wit anyone, creating conversation, but also burning so many calories. We could be walking for more than 5 miles, we wouldn't notice because were just talking. But sometimes to calm myself down. And allow myself to relax, let stress out. I take a walk by myself and observe nature, listen to the animals make their music. It's very relaxing and calming.

I also enjoy cooking and baking. Creating new dishes everyday, making my family try it. I made over 50 cakes for my family, whether it was for birthdays, little celebration, just for fun. But, sadly never was paid. If my sisters want chicken nuggets and fries. I will make everything from scratch. Never use anything from the freezer, unless it's ice cream.

I’m Vietnamese and was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Katherine enjoys vacationing in California to visit family, hanging out with friends and just being her overall amazing self!

This is a photo from a day I was walking outside with my friends. While walking, I looked at the sky and saw such a picture and took a picture of it. When I came home and looked at it, I write on it (oh Allah I love you) because he is the creator of such beauty.

My name is Siam Lian, and I am currently a rising sophomore in Kent Meridian High School. I am a class of 2024, so I have 2ish years until I graduate. Since I was in elementary school, I’ve liked creative writing, but that was it. I didn’t like other forms of writing and I didn’t like drawing or any of the sort. Now I do enjoy all types of writing a bit more, and now I do a little bit of drawing for fun.
